Space: [Job 9:9-10; Psalm 19:1-3]

These are actual
pictures from space. In order, they are photos of
our world, Saturn taken over several years, our Milky
Way, and a picture of Saturn with earth in the
background. Truly, our God is an Awesome God and
space is just part of His great handiwork. Beyond
my imagination, is that our God wants an intimate
relationship with me personally. He says,
"draw close to me, and I will draw close to
you." There will never be any better choice.
Can you bind the cluster of the
Pleiades?
Can you loose the cords of Orion?
Can you bring forth the constellations in their seasons
Or guide the Bear with its cubs?
Do you know the ordinances of the heavens?
Can you set their dominion over the earth? (Job
38:31-33)
From God's "Chambers":
From God's Servants:
Can you discover the depths of
God? Can you discover the limits of the
Almighty? They are high as the heavens, what can
you do? Deeper than Sheol, what can you
know? Job 11:7-8. As important and
intriguing as divine depths might be, they defy
discovery by the natural means of our minds. He
reserves these things for those whose hearts are
completely His...for those who take the time to wait
before Him. Only in that way can there be intimacy
with the almighty.
Clearly, our Lord operates in realms
far beyond our ability to comprehend, but He longs for
us to explore and experience that which is beyond the
obvious. Come of His best truths, like priceless
treasures, are hidden in depths most folks never take
the time to search out. Our loss! [Charles
R. Swindoll, Intimacy with the Almighty]
