STATEMENT OF FAITH AND PRACTICE:
We
believe that the God of the Bible is self-existent,
eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient,
holy, sovereign, infinite, personal, loving all who come
into the world, and merciful, and that He exists in a
trinity of persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and
beside this God there is none other.
We
believe that since the disbelief and disobedience of
Adam and Eve, all humans have sinned and failed to obey
God’s two major laws summed up by the Lord Jesus
Christ in Matthew 22:37-39.
We have failed to love God with our whole being
and we have failed to love our neighbors as ourselves.
People have become slave to selfishness and
alienated from God and one another.
We
believe that since all men have sinned, all deserve
eternal separation from God in Hell, and that no works
of any kind, at any time, before or after salvation have
any merit in one’s salvation; and that people are
saved solely by faith in Jesus Christ, who died in their
place.
Then solely by God’s grace alone, through faith
alone we are justified and reconciled to God through
belief in His Son’s payment for our sins, past
present, and future.
We
believe that this salvation is eternal and that upon
simple belief in Him we have eternal life and will be
with Him throughout eternity and that no man or no thing
can separate us from this love gift from God.
We
believe t hat God is the divine author of the Scriptures
and that he used human authors to record His inspired
and inerrant Word to man in the original documents; that
God’s Word is the final authority on all matters on
which it speaks; that there is no other revelation from
God than that which comprises the sixty-six books of the
Bible; and that the Bi9ble is interpreted with a
literal, historical, and grammatical hermeneutic.
We
believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is fully God and
fully man; that He was miraculously conceived and virgin
born; that He could not and did not sin; that He died as
a substitute for sin; that He arose on the third day;
that He ascended back to heaven; that He is seated at
the Father’s right hand; and that He is coming again
for His Body, the Church, and then after the
Tribulation, to reign over His Kingdom, of which there
will be no end.
We
believe that the Holy Spirit is fully God; that His
present ministry in the world involves conviction of
sin, righteousness, and judgment t; that He regenerates
the lost; that He draws all men to the Father; that His
present ministry to the Church involves taking from the
world a people and forming them into the Body of Christ
– the Church; that these Church members are not only
baptized by the Holy Spirit into the Church, but are
also sealed, never to be lost; that the Holy Spirit
lives with each and every believer; that believers are
gifted to minister to the world and to one another; that
the gifts of apostles, prophets, healings, miracles, and
tongues were reserved for the initial stage of the
Church; and that the Holy Spirit is at work in all
believers to bring them to maturity in Christ.
